Sold the shed
Oct. 10th, 2011 05:47 pmThere is so much more space and sunlight now! I've spent part of the day shoveling gravel into a pile. I'm going to put flagstones and gravel in the front where the grass path is, and put that grass where the gravel was. then all the mowing will be in the same place. A colleague and dear friend once said that "it's nice [in a garden] to have a place to put the baby. Or where your friends can put their baby when they come over. So I'm maintaining a square of lawn.
Where the shed was will have a border of shrubs and understory: two hazels and sea buckthorn, if I can get a hold of it. This part will be sheet-mulched for the winter with cardboard and horse manure.
