Hay stoves in Nova Scotia

I am not offering N-Pee-K (or Royal Soil, as I decided to call it) at the moment, as I'm working at a bookstore for the holiday season. However I am still available for consultation to the interested.

This is an interesting article about the potential for biofuel in the province. I am in favour of this sort of renewables for space heating, not necessarily electricity generation, which is very inefficient. It would also be nice if we could explore the fuel potential of the alders and thorns that would replacce the farmland, as mentioned in the article. This would be a more permanent allocation of land for fuel generation at a later and more evolved stage of the woodland succession. Perhaps coppiced wood would add more fuel value than grass as well, I really don't know.

Occupation changes form drastically

I realise that I haven't said anything here, officially, on the eviction of Occupy Nova Scotia. Perhaps my feelings have eluded words. On November 11, members of Occupy Nova Scotia were camped at Victoria park, after discussing with city hall and veterans and deciding to relocate to Victoria park to make way for the Rememberance day ceremonies. While Occupy Nova Scotia members shook the mayor's hand and laid a wreath on the Cenotaph, police moved in and forcibly evicted the camp at Victoria park with two hours notice, after a vaguely worded notice.

Right now in the movement a legal response is being formulated. I am looking for opportunities to take part in continuing the Occupation as a teacher and in providing food, if not shelter, to the Halifax homeless population.
